It has been a hectic month. You may notice I have closed down the jewellery area of the site as I am not getting time to update this.

Take a visit to the Sydney Antique Centre to see some of my best jewellery.  I am in Shop 254 - a cabinet next to the cafe in the Centre at South Dowling Street Surry Hills.

This site will be changing in the near future to stock reproduction 1940s and 1950s style garments, made in Australia, and as close to the traditional manufacturing methods and fabrics as I can manage to organise.

 I will continue to post news about the originals I have in the 'Kweens' shop on this site too. The reproductions will also have their own new physical shop for visitors to Katoomba, it will be at 69 Waratah Street.

Manufacture will start soon with garments hopefully in stock for early June.

Yes you are right I am being somewhat lax in posting my window pics to Facebook this week. They are coming and they are delicious! One stunning deep green velvet Lilli Diamond 70s suit and two precious pale aqua green dresses from the 50s. They have been stopping traffic since Sunday! Thank you to everyone visiting the shop from the music festival weekend, I look forward to seeing you all again. Coats are in too so we are all set even for the chilliest winter.

It has been a busy week in Katoomba with the Lady Luck Rockabilly festival followed by the Ukulele festival. We were blessed with two glorious days of sun, remember that...? It brought everyone out, and happy smiling faces were everywhere.

I've been doing a bit of revamping in the bricks and mortar shop that will allow me to be able to work on my computer during the day. Perching a netbook on my knee is not conducive to updating the site! Meanwhile lots of new stock coming in, including some fabulous RaRa petticoats that were old square dancing items, they are very colourful and full!  Also another jewellery display will be in the store by next Wednesday with lots of luscious new items.

If only I could split myself into a few more clones...It has been a busy couple of weeks, and I have been steadily adding new stock to the shop. A precious little yellow rose print cotton 50s dress, and a divine blue and white full circle skirt (photos soon) are among my favourites. I have also managed to source a number of fabulous Darlene cardigans. Must change the window and get some in there!

Well the world has turned and I am thrilled to say I have opened a bricks and mortar shop in Katoomba. I am now open at least 5 days a week including weekends between 10am and 5.30pm each day. This means that I will not be able to update items for sale on this site being ideas rich and time poor as usual...

Busy as usual and still have not managed to get as many images and info online as I intended! I will of course be taking it all to the show in October so if all else fails with my technological timeline fear not! I cannot believe how lucky I have been in sourcing some of the fabulous items I have. I try to concentrate on day wear so that all my vintage loving clients can be 'vintagees' all day long from work to play. I have also developed an interest in knitting original vintage patterns and will bring some of my creations to the show.
