It seemed appropriate given my ability to find some very special and unique items for my designs that I should share some of the information I have about them and how I came by them.

Bijoue de Boheme

This beautiful vintage braid just had to find a home here!  And while I have yet to decide exacty how it will be used, I am so very pleased to have purchases it.

Originally from the workrooms of the costumier Cliff Brunton who is well known in Australia and around the world for his theatre costumes notably The Lion King and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.  In his retirement sale many items were vintage aquired by him over the years alongside his own creations.  Thousands of metres of braid was on show and it was my opinion that the two boxes of Czech hand beaded bohemian crystal were the pick of the crop.

Perhaps others will not agree but with one yard weighing over one ounce due to the crystal beads - that is quality!
